Weddings in the Mixx

A couple of weeks ago, the popular social news site Mixx launched a new communities feature, where users can create a specially branded and customised version of Mixx focussed on a specific topic area.  So we went ahead and created the Weddings community at Mixx.

The community already has a handful of members, and also pulls across wedding planning and honeymoon-related stories from the main Mixx site automatically.  We hope it becomes a useful collection of the latest wedding news and opinion from as wide a variety of blogs as possible!

By signing up to Mixx (which is free) and joining the community, you can vote and comment on the stories that appear, submit anything relevant you find interesting to the site, and chat with other members.

Our favourite post submitted so far?  A story on the magnificently-named Wedding Poop blog about a set of handmade passport-themed save-the-date cards. The attention to detail on these (right down to the stamp used to send them) is just fantastic.
