New Gift Review screen and Gift Payments tab

Here at Buy Our Honeymoon, we’re always looking for ways to make sure the experience of reserving gifts from your wedding list is as smooth and enjoyable for your guests as possible. Every week, thousands of gifts are made through the site without a hitch, but we’re still always on the lookout for anything that might be confusing or difficult, and then trying to make it easier.

We’ve just rolled out some big changes to the way payment options are displayed to your guests, and we’ve also re-organised some of the options available to you for managing your honeymoon registry.

When someone reserves an item from your wedding list, they can click through to see details on how to pay.  This screen also shows the thank-you message you’ve provided.  If you’re using PayPal to accept credit or debit card payment for gifts, we automatically add a button for guests to send the value of their gifts to you right away.  Guests can opt to arrange separate payment to you instead, for example by sending you a cheque.

We’ve now redesigned this screen so that these options are more clear and user-friendly.  We’ve also now made it possible for guests to cancel an individual reservation from this screen, if it was made in error, for up to an hour after the reservation was initially placed.

We’ve also restructured some of the options when you log in to manage your registry, so that the settings for accepting gift payments are now in a tab all of their own.

This hopefully makes the options for setting up online payments or leaving payment instructions a bit more obvious.  It also frees up some space in the List Details tab, so we’ve improved the currencies section of this to allow you to set up two additional display currencies instead of just one.
